Miller Tirecraft is a leading wholesaler and retailer of tire products and automotive services and is currently seeking an experienced manager to oversee the operations of a busy location in the Halifax Regional Municipality. A member of the Tirecraft family, the company has a reputation for excellence with customers and staff and requires a leader with a minimum of 3 to 5 years experience as a store manager.

The successful candidate for this "hands on" Store Manager position will have the following responsibilities:

• Leadership of a staff of approximately 20.
• Profitability and revenue growth for the location.
• Purchasing, replenishment and management of inventory.
• Preparation of required operational reports to management.
• Assist as necessary on shop floor.
• Ensure required safety procedures are followed. 
• Scheduling of work for team.
• Supervision of Sales and Customer Service Team as well as having direct contact with public and major customers.
• Work with senior management group for the development of an annual sales and profit plan, marketing plan and HR objectives for the group including annual performance reviews.

Qualifications –

• 3 to 5 years of relevant Store Manager experience with a reputation for superior customer service and people skills.
• Relevant educational background.
• Valid driver license.
• Valid First Aid and WHMIS certificates.
• Direct experience with the installation of tires for light and commercial vehicles and basic automotive servicing.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem solving attributes.
• Effective delegation, team building and human resource management skills.
• Familiar with Nova Scotia Occupational Health and Safety Act.
