Miller Tirecraft is a leading wholesaler and retailer of tire products and automotive services and is currently seeking an experienced manager to oversee the operations of a busy location in the Halifax Regional Municipality. A member of the Tirecraft family, the company has a reputation for excellence with customers and staff and requires a leader with a minimum of 3 to 5 years experience as a store manager.
The successful candidate for this "hands on" Store Manager position will have the following responsibilities:
- Leadership of a staff of approximately 20.
- Profitability and revenue growth for the location.
- Purchasing, replenishment and management of inventory.
- Preparation of required operational reports to management.
- Assist as necessary on shop floor.
- Ensure required safety procedures are followed.
- Scheduling of work for team.
- Supervision of Sales and Customer Service Team as well as having direct contact with public and major customers.
- Work with senior management group for the development of an annual sales and profit plan, marketing plan and HR objectives for the group including annual performance reviews.
Qualifications –
- 3 to 5 years of relevant Store Manager experience with a reputation for superior customer service and people skills.
- Relevant educational background.
- Valid driver license.
- Valid First Aid and WHMIS certificates.
- Direct experience with the installation of tires for light and commercial vehicles and basic automotive servicing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem solving attributes.
- Effective delegation, team building and human resource management skills.
- Familiar with Nova Scotia Occupational Health and Safety Act.
