I am a non-union acoustic and drywall contractor, can I join the Association?

Yes, provided you agree to comply and be bound to the terms and conditions the Provincial Collective Bargaining Agreeement between the Carpenters' Employer Bargaining Agency and the Carpenters' District Council of Ontario, United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America (C.D.C.).


What are the costs to join the Assocaition?

Members pay a fixed  annual fee of $450.00 per year. However, this fee is waived for the first year of new membership.


I am not an acoustical ceiling/drywall contractor but I do supply products and services to the acoustic and drywall industry, can I join the Association?

No, membership is limited to acoustic and drywall contractors operating in the ICI sector of the construction industry in Ontario and who are bound to the Provincial Collective Agreement between the Carpenters' Employer Bargaining Agency (E.B.A.) and the Carpenters' District Council of Ontario, United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America.


Are there any other costs associated with membership?

No.  However, all contractors bound to the Provincial Collective Agreeemnt with the United Brotherhood of Carpenters & Joiners of America pay an Association Administration Fund whcih is distributed to the various trade Associtions, such as AAO, who are signatory to the collective agreement.
