Dave Amonson is a founding partner of ALW Partners LLP and has been active in the profession for forty-three years. His peers granted him a Fellow Chartered Accountant in 2001. In the last segment of his career, Dave has handed off much of his practice to younger partners while maintaining a few long-time clients and assisting with special projects where experience and innovation add value. Outside of the profession, Dave has been instrumental in developing a family gathering place including a pioneer museum, refurbished railway station, and library. Activities of grandchildren, and extensive family, fill many of Dave's days.

Darrel Kesslering obtained his Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon prior to becoming a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Alberta and British Columbia. Darrel became a partner of the firm in 1981 and has since worked primarily with owner-managed businesses in the areas of planning and compliance, developing relationships with multiple generations of business owners. Darrel was the recipient of the Distinguished Service Award in 2003 from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta. Darrel is married with four children and enjoys travelling and sports. 

Jay Pullen obtained his Bachelor of Behavioural Sciences and a degree in Business before receiving his designation as a Chartered Accountant in November of 2010. He articled at PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in the audit and assurance division before joining ALW Partners LLP in 2011. Since becoming a partner in ALW, Jay’s professional career has focused on providing tax, accounting, and consulting services to individuals and owner-managed companies all across Alberta. Jay has two young sons and spends much of his spare time watching or coaching his boys in hockey and baseball.

Jon Wiens obtained a Bachelor of Science prior to pursuing his career in accounting and becoming a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Alberta. Jon articled at PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PWC) in the audit and assurance division before joining ALW Partners LLP in 2012. Since becoming a partner in ALW, Jon’s professional career has focused on providing tax, accounting, and consulting services to individuals and owner-managed companies across Alberta. Jon is married with three children and spends much of his spare time running around with his kids. 

Michelle Kesslering obtained her Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Calgary prior to becoming a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Alberta. Michelle became partner in 2018 and has since worked primarily with owner-managed businesses and compliance with taxation authorities. Michelle loves to travel, play sports and try new restaurants. In addition, Michelle loves to learn and is currently enrolled in the In-depth tax program. Her favourite phrase is “learning is a lifelong event”.
