Goat Milk Soap-Making

Learn how to make goat milk soap from scratch.  You will have the option to purchase the batch of soap that you make during the workshop. Each batch makes approximately 24 bars of 110gr each.  Ingredients and molds for home soap-making can be purchased so that you can make your own soap for yourself at home.

Experience Aurora Tour

This tour involves one of our tour guides leading you around the farm. We’ll cover all the aspects of our farm – including our commitment to sustainability, indigenous teachings we use on the farm, our variety of animals (including Heritage Breeds), and all the products we make on the farm. We’ll visit the animals and learn about their personalities as well!

Cheese & Crackers Workshop

Join us in our kitchen to make feta, chevre, and ricotta cheeses.  We’ll give you the information on where to buy the supplies to continue to make fresh cheeses at home! And what is a cheese without a cracker? We’ll also be making our own custom crackers to enjoy our cheeses with. Economical and delicious!

Three-Day Goat School

Learn everything you need to know to have your own dairy goats for your family’s dairy needs.  Three-days of hand-milking goats will get you ready for action.  Practical skills like trimming hooves, administering needles and basic first aid will all be taught with hands-on exercises.  We’ll go over planning for shelter and fencing with your existing spaces in mind so that participants can leave with a set-up plan.  We’ll spend the afternoons in the kitchen making cheeses.  By the end of session you will feel and be ready plan for your own dairy goats and become that much more food-secure for your family.

Aurora Farm Camp

Looking for an opportunity to learn all about our farm in a friendly, safe environment? During this week long camp, youth between the ages of 8 and 14 will learn the basics of horseback riding, safety and horse care. They will also have a chance to learn and care for our many other friendly animals, including goats, sheep, alpacas and chickens. Each day will include a theory lesson, a riding lesson and fun farm activities. Check here for more information.

Backyard Chickens

Thinking about having a clutch of hens in your backyard so that you can have delicious and nutritious fresh eggs (not to mention food security for your family!)  Join us for an morning of discussions and demonstrations.  You’ll leave feeling ready to do it! This workshop will be held in May 2022, check back in the spring for more information.

Natural Health Care Products 

Don’t want to use unknown chemicals in your basic personal care routine?  Find “natural” commercial products too expensive?  Learn how to make your own natural Deodorant, Lip Balm, Moisturizers, and Facials.  Take home samples and recipes. We are not running this workshop this season.

Bread-Making from Scratch

Who needs a bread machine?  Learn how to make Louise’s famous bread, cinnamon buns, pretzels and bagels.  Samples to take home and impress your family!  Recipes to carry on making bread products on your own. We are not running this workshop this season.
