NFL Picks & Pans: Week 11

With another good week picking winner, we look ahead to week 11 of the 2012 NFL regular season.

David Richard-US PRESSWIRE

The first tie game this year and in a few years too away what obviously should have been an easy win for me as well as the San Francisco 49ers over the St. Louis Rams, but neither team could find a way to score in the extra session, making one wonder, that should tie games be made a thing of the past and keep playing until one team wins, much like the college game?

That's obviously a discussion fro another time, so lets get on board with the picks this week. We'll start with the Thursday Night Football game tonight and as usual, I'll make my pick in the preview tomorrow of the Baltimore Ravens at the Pittsburgh Steelers slugfest on Sunday Night Football.

Dolphins over Bills (Thursday Night Football): Buffalo has been a very disappointing team this year with all the free agent signings this off-season. Meanwhile, Miami was looking solid until their blowout loss at home last week to a team that had lost by 31 points the week before at home.

Falcons over Cardinals: This has the makings of an upset, but after losing last week, I like Atlanta over Arizona in a bounce-back game to take their frustrations out on the Cards.

Cowboys over Browns: Don't look now but is Dallas making a playoff run? Cleveland is the perfect visitor to help them head in that direction.

Panthers over Buccaneers: This qualifies as an "Upset Special Pick of the Week," as I like the home team for some reason as Carolina has usually played Tampa Bay tough in this NFC South division match-up.

Packers over Lions: A year ago, this may have been one of the better games this weekend, but Detroit has been disappointing this year and it looks like Green Bay is back on track as one of the most dangerous in the league.

Texans over Jaguars: It must be nice for Houston having to play in the AFC South, one of the weakest divisions in the league, which means Jacksonville is in trouble, as evidenced by being double-digit underdogs.

Bengals over Chiefs: Perhaps an upset in the making but there is just no reason anyone can pick Kansas City to win, and Cincinnati is flying high with confidence after their impressive win last week.

Rams over Jets: It's a sad state of affairs that New York is an underdog to St. Louis, as the Jets have become perhaps the most under-achieving team in the NFL this season while the Rams are looking better than they were expected to be, mostly due to their improved defense.

Redskins over Eagles: After last week, things are really looking bad for Philadelphia, and a Washington victory would help the 'Skins fans have more hope for something other than another last place NFC East finish.

Saints over Raiders: Looks like New Orleans is on their way to last year's ways of winning, with an electric offense that should scare Oakland, who gave up 55 points last week to Baltimore. Ouch.

Broncos over Chargers: In what should be a huge AFC West match-up, Denver seems to have it all over San Diego, mostly based on one QB being so much more better than the other. Can you guess which one is which?

Patriots over Colts: Ah, this match-up used to be one of the best and will still be good as the Indianapolis rookie QB has been solid, but cannot begin to be compared to the one over center for the New England Patriots. Time for school, Andrew Luck. Meet Professor Tom Brady.

49ers over Bears (Monday Night Football): At one point, this might have been considered a preview of the NFC Championship Game. Now with both starting QBs expected to miss the game, it will be a mere shell of itself and since San Francisco and Chicago both have such good defenses, points will be at a premium so the running and kicking game will decide this contest.
