Byron Leftwich To Start For Steelers

Every time the Baltimore Ravens play the Pittsburgh Steelers it is bound to be a slug-fest, but this slug-fest just got a lot easier for the Ravens with Ben Roethlisberger out of the picture.

Beating the Steelers is never an easy task for the Baltimore Ravens, but the task is a lot easier with the injury to Ben Roethlisberger. Ben Roethlisberger will be forced to sit out this week's game against the Ravens with a dislocated rib which he rates a "9 out of 10" on the pain index. It is never good to see a player deterred by injury, and I wish Ben a speedy recover, however Ravens fans all over the country can sleep a bit easier this week knowing that their team has a greater chance of winning with Big Ben sidelined.

The Steeler's potent offense consisting of Mike Wallace, Antonio Brown, and Heath Miller still poses a huge threat to the decimated Ravens' defense. Byron Leftwich, who the Ravens tried to trade up to get in the first round of the 2003 draft, is no push-over. He is an NFL quarterback and can still hurt the Ravens if they cut him any slack, so it's doubtful that the Ravens will prepare any different than they would have with Ben Roethlisberger healthy.

However, considering it will be Byron Leftwich's first start for the Pittsburgh Steelers, he will more than likely make a considerable amount of mistakes which the Ravens will look to capitalize off of.
