Beve applies her quirky humour, amazing observational skills and quick wit to her writing endeavors as well. For two years she authored a popular regularly featured column in Calgary’s Strathcona Gazette, ‘Thoughts From a Neighbour‘, where she discussed everything from aspects of decaying communities to 250 words on the evils of dog pooh! She lent her medical wisdom to columns that explored avoidance of summertime trauma visits to the Emergency Room, tips on deciphering media medical scares, what to consider before taking the tattoo plunge, and the low-down on anaphylaxis.
She has also been featured in the Alberta RN Magazine on several occasions. Even through some extremely serious topics, her humanity and humour shine through enabling readers to accept & digest difficult material.

An accomplished writer, Beve is able to educate, entertain and provoke thought & discussion with her powerful use of levity, and writes about topics that few writers would dare tackle.

Stay tuned for additional articles appearing in mainstream magazines and for the release of her first novel, a fictionalized autobiography tentatively entitled, ‘The Hotel General’.
