It's me. Alex. And this is my personal battle with self-discovery and self-expression. Recently an architecture student, now a young professional in Toronto trying to find his own voice within art making and expression.

Under A Rock

What happens when you run out of people you feel safe talking to?

Racial Equality vs. Equality for Racists

Home is a space where I don’t need to be politically correct. I can be who I want to be. I don’t ask mom or dad to adopt other race siblings so that our non-ethnic friends can feel comfortable visiting.

And sometimes guest do feel uncomfortable - but being invited into a home they either need to set aside their racial bias or they don’t visit at all. But to even try to imagine that effort can be expended upon neutralizing ones own culture, in favour of making the racists feel safer for their one visit? This is what hurts the most.

And if that makes a racist feel uncomfortable to visit, then they don’t deserve to step into my home.

I’m tired of apologizing for being for being Asian.

How Much Do I Owe You?

In this world of individualism, our relationships are mere transactions.

Settling debt, settles a relationship.

Futuristic Ecosystems by Nicole Gustafsson a.k.a nimasprout

American artist Nicole Gustafsson uses delicate, dreamy colors to paint the atmospheric details of a series of otherworldly ecosystems. The painted structures appear disjointed from their original landmasses, meteors flung far from each other and left to float out in the galactic abyss. Follow her on Twitter.
