Just a bit of technology

Apple's Remote app
Gerry and I did an upgrade to our home system, things change so fast, it’s amazing.
What we can do now with music is this:
I can pull out my iPhone and play any music I have on there through my Nuvo ceiling speaker system, and on my Apple TV through my TV Paradigm speakers. This is done through the Remote (by Apple) app and using Apples’s AirPort express (WiFi base station) in my home system. So if you download the Remote app you can do the same at my house. Hey listen to this cool song I just downloaded and send it to my Nuvo home system and/or Apple TV.
I can also send any music from iTunes on my computer and have it play over Apple TV and Nuvo. That uses the Remote app too but my computer is also hard-wired to our home system.

And what I can do with photos and videos is that I can pull out my iPhone and send my camera roll to my TV through the same Remote app. And you can do the same through your Remote app. Anyone who is logged onto our home wireless network. Any AirPlay-enabled apps will work.

It’s amazing the technology we have in our homes these days. And I love it, watching videos of the babies and listening to new tunes.

If you have an iPhone and don’t have Apple TV you should look into what you can do with it, and it’s not very expensive, it’s only like $109 then if you can hook it up yourself you’re doing great.

I’m going to be doing another blog post on this, maybe a video, but I want to learn it all a little better first so I can go into more detail.

Oh and tonight I smashed the screen of my iPhone, it just fell off my lap and landed face down on the concrete patio. My Otter box commuter didn’t save it, should have had the Defender model, or a different one.
