Ya Ha Tinda Park
Alberta
Located a few hours northwest of Calgary,
this federally run park is the home of the ranch that breeds and trains all the
horses that patrol the Rocky
Mountain parks. Thankfully,
it’s a virtual unknown to tourists, allowing you to wander the plains
and the canyon, with it’s creek and waterfall, with almost no one else
in sight. It’s as though mother nature decided to take the backdrop
from the ‘Sound of Music’ and add a touch of Canada to it!
