Double Door, Turn Signal Chime?
Hello there,
I have just installed a Alpine IVA-505 in my Cobalt SS/SC 2006
I Used The Scosche GM13SR 2004-08 GM LAN 11 Bit Stereo Replacement Interface
and a PAC TR7 override for my video (i used this item in my 03 tiburon should be fine).
Since i have done the install my Door chimes and truning signal click or beep twice, just off timeing of eachother, the fist click or beep is normal but the second one sounds alot different.. kinda like a hot girl warring long heels walking down a school halway.
yah i know i bit grafic but its very iritating and have no real idea what the issue is.
I Have looked throught many of the theads and have found no info on this error.
Thanks for any help...

I think that the 2007 and up use the left front speaker for chimes.
Since your is a 2006, I think you have a chime box.
So if I had to make a guess the first chime is the one coming through you chime box, and the second one is being generated by the Scosche GM13SR and sent to the left front speaker.
As to how to solve the issue, other than running your fronts off an aftermarket amp, IDK

When I said chime box I was talking about the stock one, where ever it is located. What I was getting at was there are 2 chimes being generated, one being the stock one and by the Scosche unit. Both of which are not coming at the same time.
OP- You have an aftermarket amp running the stock speakers? Or do you have an aftermarket amp runing a sub in the trunk?

Before connecting a stereo wiring Interface (such as the GM13SR) intoa GM vehicle, it is necessary to follows these steps:
1) Close All Doors
2) Turn Off All Lights
3) Remove Keys from Ignition
4) Wait for 2 minutes (for vehicle's data-line to settle)
5) Connect Interface into Vehicle
6) Start the Vehicle
7) Test the Radio
This procedure is necessary for the proper functionality of the GM wiring interface.
