With the adoption of the new Canadian Playground Standard in 1998 (updated 2003 and again in 2007) the standard of care for public playgrounds is being redefined and clarified. Increasingly those with older playgrounds are recognizing the need to upgrade playgrounds in light of the standard of care represented by CAN/CSA-Z614.

Hello Mr. Richards,
My client owns an apartment building located at 3420 Aucinachie Road. There is playground structure located on the premises. My client’s insurance company recently completed an inspection of the premises and the inspector raised a concern regarding surfacing and draw string entrapment.
