The first Sunday morning gathering at Eaglemont Christian Church was October 29, 2006. We are people from a variety of backgrounds who share a common desire to grow in knowing God, loving people and serving our world.

In late summer of 2003, a Christian businessman came to Pastor Horst Doberstein and said he would donate land if a church could be planted there. The vision included the construction of a building where this new church body could gather.

Pastor Marlo and Miriam Jenkins were invited to pastorally lead Eaglemont Church along with Pastor Horst & Elvine Doberstein (who volunteered their time). People from various congregations began stepping forward, expressing their desire to be a part of this congregation. There were two key partner churches – Millwoods Pentecostal Assembly and Southside Pentecostal Assembly, both of Edmonton, Alberta – who were significant partners in the capital expense of the building, and who also encouraged people to join this mission and be a part of the initial ‘launch team’.
