After touring for the past year and change, Sam Adams decided to kick things off this year by giving his fans what they’ve all been waiting for, new music. This 10 track free pre-album entitled Into The Wild is just a taste of what is in store for 2012. Special shout out to Sam’s DJ, Jayceeoh, who helped mix, cut, and master the project.

Sammy recently dropped the first single, “Blow Up”off his debut LP, since inking a major deal with RCA Records at Sony. A sprightly hook and verses his fans can relate to, Sam brings us back to the “I Hate College” days. Yes he has a fair amount of work to do to build himself back into the freshman that stunned the world with his debut EP release, but now with the proper tools in place I’m confident Sam’s going to be resurrecting his brand and reaching a new level of success. Sammy traced back his roots and found himself shooting this video in Allston, MA where he first started to “Blow Up”. Despite this being the first music video we’ve seen since “Still I Rise” with G. Curtis, this project encompasses every aspect necessary for national and international success and should kick start Boston’s Boy back onto the charts. No confirmed date yet for the album, but we can definitely expect a grade A projet in 2012.

Been some time since anyone has heard some new Sam Adams. For those of you who didn’t like Sam’s dubstep/hip-hop tracks over the summer, this is a nice change of style. Rapping over The Pixies, Where Is My Mind?, Sam has a lot of work to do to build back his fan base after this hiatus of his. Can he do it? Of course he can. Listen to this track, is that not enough to show you Boston’s Boy has still got it? Haters are going to hate on this, but going unbiased on this, realizing what Sam has and has not gotten away with in the past. This is just the beginning before he really blows up.

This new Sam Adams leak is a straight up ELECTRO BANGER remix of Wolfgang Gartners hit “Push and Rise”. Few artists can tackle energetic and up-beat tracks like Sam who has mastered the concept of adding value to the songs he flips. There’s a lot to be said for that considering the industry is over-saturated with a handful of songs that artists recycle but fail to improve. This electro pop genre is his forte. I think we’ll be seeing an even more refined version of this out of Sam in his album which is set to drop in the near future. In fact, I can confirm that since I’ve heard a number of the cuts. As for the background of this track – I don’t have too much info aside from the fact that I heard it several months ago – long before he started working on his album material. Haters are going to hate, but try to do yourself a favor and give this an unbiased listen. (Note: this is NOT an official release, it’s just a LEAK I got my hands on)

The boys at 1st Round have been quietly preparing the release of G Curtis’ debut album Maximum Volume, set to drop this Tuesday. The dubstep remix below features the harmonizing voice of G Curtis behind Visions top notch production. Here’s what they had to say about this project.
After completing a Nationwide House of Blues tour with label mate Sam Adams, G Curtis went straight to the studio to complete his solo album; Maximum Volume. G Curtis worked diligently with 1st Round’s head producer, Matty Trump to create the proper sound for each track. Even though the album falls under the R&B genre, G Curtis expanded his repertoire by exploring Hip Hop, Soul, and Electronic music. G Curtis and 1st Round’s head A&R Zack Johnson searched high and low for the best features for his album. Collaborations include Sam Adams, Cal of Timefles, Cam Meekins, PJ Simas, and 1st Round’s newest artist; Luvi. G Curtis is releasing two music videos directed by Rex Arrow highlighting the singles Weekend Girlfriend & We Made it. About Damn Time…haha. Everyone has been waiting for the prodigal son to release some FIRE. I am really feeling this track. Sam keeps it tight on the beat, but the beat happens to be some ILL dubstep! This is going to be a great summer for not only Sam Adams, but for his fans as well.
