NCC Project - War Museum Irrigation Soft Starter Pump Control Panel
In 2012, the National Capital Commission requested from local contractors the installation of a Irrigation Soft Starter Pump Control Panel.
Project Requirements:
- NEMA 4X Enclosure. (Stainless Steel)
- NEMA 4X peripherals. (30mm Push Button/Selector Switches; Strobe and Horn)
- Approved Soft Starter.
- CSA Approved Panel.
Bank of Canada - Motor Control Centre Design
In 2011, the Bank of Canada retrofitted one of their Ottawa locations. Completely eliminating the interior and exterior of the building, the Bank of Canada requested a new Motor Control Centres installation. One of the major requirements for this installation was to integrate the ABB Voltage Frequency Drive inside any major Motor Control Centre manufacturer.
Project Requirements:
- ABB Voltage Frequency installed in each MCC Cabinet.
- Load Reactor installed in each MCC Cabinet to help with the 'noise' between MCC and equipment.
- 30mm Peripherals.(Push-Button and Selector Switches)
- CSA Approved Panel.
On a tight and demanding schedule, GO Control Inc. provided a turn-key design and helped deliver 25 cabinets within 2 weeks.
National Arts Centre : Motor Control Centre Retrofit
At the National Arts Centre, the customer requested from local contractors to retrofit its existing Motor Control Centre. Due to obsolete circuit breakers with lower kA rating, the customer was looking to eliminate these and replace them with Fusible Disconnect Switches.
Project Requirements:
- Replace existing lower kA rated Circuit Breakers with Fusible Disconnect Switches.
- Integrate Phase Loss Monitor with motor starter control circuit.
- Night installation to avoid any disruption in scheduled plays and orchestra.
- ESA approved installation.
With proper planning and managing, GO Control Inc. replaced over 50 Circuit Breakers with Fusible Disconnect Switches.
