Our Apartments

Hesperus Village is made up to two buildings that are physically linked.  Hesperus East is the original building and Hesperus West is the new expanded facility.  Our buildings have a unique design based on the architectural philosophies of Rudolf Steiner.  

Hesperus East:

  • Built in 1987
  • Electric Baseboard heating - no central air conditioning
  • Variety of studio, 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom apartments with kitchens and private bathrooms
  • Main floor apartments have walk-outs to Hesperus gardens
  • 50% of the apartments are rent-geared-to-income

  • Laundry Room on 2nd floor

Hesperus West:

  •  Built in 2011
  • Modern aesthetic
  • Wood flooring
  • Kitchenettes without stoves
  • Variety of 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom unitss
  • 50% of the units are offered through a rent assited program managed by York Region
  • Central heating and cooling
  • Laundry Room and Lounge on main floor

Our Facilities / Grounds include:

  • A congregate dining room is available in Hesperus West and offers meals to residents for a monthly fee or flex plan.

  • 5 minute drive from 2 major shopping centres

  • Close to Hwys 407 and 7

  • 10 minutes to Mackenzie Health Hospital

  • Smoke-free Building

 Additional Amenities and Services (some of these services are fee-based)

 

  • Meal Services available for a fee.
  • Weekly transportation through onsite agency North York Seniors Centre.
  • Assisted Living Services (personal support) are provided to residents that are eligible through North York Seniors Centre.  Residents must be assessed by the Central CCAC to confirm eligibility
