Nurturing families since 1971

We believe children learn best through play, which encourages children to be creative, curious and builds independence. Our play-based program is designed to offer children the freedom to explore through open-ended activities as well as a structured routine, creating a safe and secure environment in which to learn. Located in Falaise Park near Rupert St and 16th Ave in East Vancouver, we offer morning programs for both 3 year olds & 4 year olds in a warm and inviting facility with our own private garden next to a playground and park. As a Parent Involvement Preschool, parents have the unique opportunity to contribute directly to their children’s experience at school, and take advantage of the Parent Education that is offered.

School during COVID-19

At Happy Corner, our priority is the safety of our children, their families, our teachers, and our community. We understand the importance of having a safe space for our young children to play, explore, socialize and learn.  As a Parent Involvement Preschool, our families and teachers make important decisions together regarding school operations.  It is especially important at this time that we are listening and learning from each other, from the community, and from the Provincial Health Authorities.  Our policies evolve to best accommodate the health and safety of our young learners and their families.  If you are interested in registering your child and want more information, please email  for the most up-to-date information.

Happy Corner is now a Parent Involvement Preschool (PIP)!

What does that mean? After over 40 years of being a Parent Participation Preschool, we have adapted a new PIP model that gives parents and families more flexibility with involvement in our school.  While our goal remains the same - to provide a nurturing community to...

Parent Participation is more than just dropping your kid off for a few hours. You are joining a community of parents. We have playdates, we trade duty days, we pick up and drop off each other’s kids, we make meals for the family with the new baby, we run and take care of the school, we go to meetings, we fundraise, we have fun…I will have these people in my life a long time and our kids will always have this bond.
