Cassava Grinders

Income generation programs are a key focus area for International Children’s Awareness.  These programs provide community members with the equipment, livestock, capital and skills necessary to create income for themselves and their families.

In 2008 and 2009 ICA donated 10 cassava grinders to 10 women’s groups in Cameroon.  These cassava grinders have allowed the women’s groups to fund community programs, as well as to invest in other profitable activities such as the acquisition of farm land, and the creation of a revolving lending fund for group member to borrow from at relatively low interest.
