TCP/TCT - Traffic Control Professional / Technician
This Job is for you if:
- You are a highly motivated and keen individual
- You have a good sense of awareness and strong attention
skills
- You enjoy working outdoors, regardless of the season
- You are a quick learner
- You have at least a G driver's license
Duties
include:
- Flagging
- Lane Closures as per OTM Book 7
- Traffic Safety
- Loading and unloading appropriate equiment into and out of
vehicles at start and end of shifts.
Skills and
Experience
- The ability to be vigilant and constantly aware of your
surroundings
- Basic understanding of Traffic Safety
- Experience with any kind of roadwork where traffic control was
involved
- Assets:
- WHMIS Training/Certification
- Knowledge of Book 7
- TCP Certification
- POST Certification
- First Aid/CPR
(Any of the assets are good
towards getting a job with JTS, but the right candidate will receive
the above training as well).
