I was born in the remote town of Shahrekord, located in west central Iran. My educational path started in a small room that encompassed 45 students ranging from first to fifth grade; I have come a long way since then. I graduated in 2003 with my Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering with honor, in 2007 with my Master of Science in Structural Engineering from one of the best technical schools in the Middle East (Amirkabir University of Technology). I continued my studies at the University of Alberta in structural engineering, and I obtained my PhD in 2016. I now live in Edmonton, Canada but still visit my hometown every chance I get and each time, I am immersed in the incredible transformation that the art of civil engineering has bestowed upon this once isolated village-like town. This fascination is precisely why I've dedicated all my educational efforts to the field of civil engineering, more specifically structural engineering and remain committed to bettering my knowledge and experience in this area. Hi, I'm Amir.
