This past weekend I was at the 2nd annual Jeff Webster Memorial Pig Roast. The event is a fund raiser for the Ottawa Heart Institute hosted and organized by Jeff’s brother Chad. Jeff was the son of my friend Dave. Dave and I used to be business partners in the old days when I worked for a living. Jeff passed away very unexpectedly in 2006.
The event was a wonderful mixture of family and friends, young and old. It had a “North of 7” flavour, which, if you were from Lanark would know that refers to a local (part of Lanark County north of Highway 7) redneck style with a Canadian flavour – think nice polite rednecks having a good time. The event was a blast. Next year, I won’t drink quite so much beer.
