"Talented People Creating Lasting Partnerships."

Our Mission Statement, as outlined above, simply and accurately reflects our Corporate Character.

Klearwater Equipment & Technologies Corp. is a privately owned company which was formed in June of 2000 to buy the water treatment and sulphur processing divisions of Easy Treat Corporation, a privately owned company that was based in Calgary, Alberta. The Owners of Klearwater Equipment & Technologies Corp. are Mr. Anthony S. Greville and Mr. J. Al Nalezyty, who were the founding Vice-Presidents of the water and sulphur divisions of Easy Treat Corporation, which was established in 1996.

Klearwater Equipment & Technologies Corp. has it own proprietary range of chemical products as well as the exclusive rights to a number of outstanding products that are otherwise unavailable in western North America and markets them through field offices and stock points strategically located across the Provinces of Alberta and British Columbia as well as the U.S. Pacific Northwest.

Operations.

Water and Wastewater Treatment Division.
The forerunner of Klearwater Equipment & Technologies Corp. was established in 1996 to address emerging environmental concerns in Western Canada.  With new and more stringent regulations being contemplated, and instituted, in the municipal water and wastewater management sectors, there was an immediate need for new technologies which will allow new and existing facilities to meet emerging strict government limitations.  In addition, industrial effluent discharges are already closely monitored by regulating agencies and their impact can no longer be ignored on the overall watershed of a particular region.  The unfortunate situations in Ontario and Saskatchewan as well as recent legislation in British Columbia highlight the growing concern for the protection of our water resources.

Klearwater Equipment & Technologies Corp. has developed a particular expertise in coagulation chemistry, which allows for improvements in dissolved and particulate matter removal from raw waters or contaminated wastewaters.  This expertise, combined with new chemical technologies, provides a unique entry into an increasingly specialized market.  Traditional suppliers have been either reluctant or incapable of responding to these changing market demands.

Augmenting its sound technical capabilities, Klearwater has secured long-term supply contracts with Hydor-Tech Limited a wholly owned subsidiary of PIC Corporation of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.  Klearwater has become the exclusive sales and marketing vehicle for Hydor-Tech’s Squamish, B.C. manufactured PACl products in Western Canada as well as the Pacific Northwest.  Two other Hydor-Tech facilities provide complete manufacturing flexibility spanning the entire spectrum of aluminum based water treatment chemicals that allow Klearwater to tailor our treatment programmes to the specific needs of each customer.  Over the past eight years, Klearwater has developed a number of specific applications for Western Canadian municipalities and industries that are a testament to our ability to meet a variety of customer requirements.

Klearwater Equipment also has product distribution contracts/agreements with the two leading polymer manufacturing companies in the world, for the supply of organic polymer flocculants.  These materials compliment the actions of the aluminum and iron based coagulants that form the major component of the Corporation’s business base.  Polymer applications in the water treatment residuals handling sector have become increasingly significant and compliment the more traditional wastewater treatment sludge dewatering applications.  Klearwater Equipment & Technologies Corp. can offer the complete solution, and has the unique ability to offer either stand alone separate products or custom blended products to all customers.

As analytical methods become more precise, the effects of low concentrations of chemicals leached into receiving waters and ground water are becoming well understood, and associated concerns legislated against.  Residuals handling, both in the water treatment plant and in the wastewater treatment plant is now a key process unit.  Klearwater Equipment & Technologies Corp. understands the sludge thickening and dewatering processes and has developed the expertise and technology to be a part of any residuals programme.

Recently the development and acceptance of membrane filter technology has led to many new and different opportunities for a company like Klearwater Equipment & Technologies Corp.  We have taken the time to become technically competent in the field, and, in Western Canada, we are the first speciality chemical company the leading membrane manufacturers contact when installing a new membrane facility.  We are proficient in coagulation chemistry, secondary solids thickening, residuals dewatering and membrane cleaning applications.

Klearwater Equipment & Technologies Corp. through a marketing agreement with Canada Colors is able to supply the leading North American brand of Potassium Permanganate.  We supply the top of the line free flowing potable water grade, a low dusting technical grade for industrial applications, needle grade and the solid extruded grade complete with mesh feeding bags.

Screening Equipment.
The supply of coagulants and flocculants does not always present the most cost efficient solution to some wastewater concerns. Fine screening can often be a useful pre-treatment step prior to the addition of the physical - chemical process step.  Klearwater Equipment & Technologies Corp. has a marketing agreement with Filterboxx Inc. of Calgary, Alberta to present all types of fine screening equipment to the industrial and municipal wastewater treatment industry.

Sulphur Division.
A second significant opportunity for Klearwater Equipment & Technologies Corp. involves the chemical processes associated with the production and shipping of formed sulphur in Western Canada.  Concerns involving safe handling, high quality production and dust emission levels all require innovative approaches with unique products in order to ensure worker and public safety and product quality on an environmentally acceptable, cost effective, manner.
In association with Alberta Sulphur Research Ltd. (ASRL) at the University of Calgary, and major sulphur producers, Klearwater Equipment & Technologies Corp. has developed a number of proprietary dust control, corrosion inhibition, biocidal and process aids which are used extensively throughout the industry.  Various applications exist at several sulphur forming sites in Alberta as well as at the major shipping and transfer terminals in Vancouver.  In addition, several large chemical and fertilizer manufacturers are working exclusively with Klearwater personnel in the design and implementation of new programmes in existing plants, as well as the introduction of chemical programmes in new and proposed plants.

Summary.
Klearwater Equipment & Technologies Corp. provides it’s customers with total flexibility in chemical selection spanning the entire range of technologies available in today’s marketplace.  By advancing a selection of specialty chemical products, Klearwater Equipment & Technologies Corp. is equipped to provide unbiased solutions with solid technical support to specific problems.  The current success of Klearwater Equipment & Technologies Corp. can be attributed to some very basic principles: sound modern technology, advanced by fully qualified individuals to industries with a distinct need supported by a full service programme.  This “total needs” approach has been widely accepted and Klearwater Equipment & Technologies Corp. is now recognized as an industry leader.  At all times we live up to our Mission Statement,

"Talented People Creating Lasting Partnerships."
