The Dahlai Lama is living proof of this idea. The reason he is so content is because he has been training his mind towards enlightenment since he was 4 years old.

People will promote you, seek your leadership, pursue you for love and respect, and pay you large sums of money if you train yourself in the art of mental toughness.

P.P.S. Most people who take this training are sponsored by their company because it is phenomenal professional development. Self-employed individuals deduct it from their taxes because it is training.
