JAPAN ASSOCIATION OF TRANSLATORS (J.A.T.)
JAT is a professional organization, which since 1985 has served the interests of individual
translators working in either direction between the Japanese and English languages.
JAT's current membership totals approximately 450 persons, more than 40% of which live outside
of Japan, and JAT activities include the operation of a members-only mailing list as well as the publication
of a monthly newsletter. JAT also holds monthly meetings in Tokyo on the third Saturday of most months,
and sponsors an annual international translation conference, known as IJET.

The Society of Translators and Interpreters of British Columbia (S.T.I.B.C.)
is a non-profit professional association and an affiliate of CITC
CANADIAN TRANSLATORS AND INTERPRETERS COUNCIL (CTIC),
CTIC certifies translators and interpreters, including conference and court interpreters.
