The Previews Catalog

The list of items available for pre-order is known as the Previews Catalog. A new catalog comes out once a month, usually on the 1st or a day or two earlier. You can preorder from the Previews Catalog for the current month and the previous month. You browse through the Previews Catalog, put the items that you want to preorder into your subscription service shopping cart, and then place your order. Subscription service orders are placed separately from other orders at MyComicShop

Shipping Frequency

When you submit your first preorder, you choose whether you want to receive shipments monthly, twice monthly, or weekly. Additionally, if you choose weekly shipping you may choose that we hold your shipment until it totals a given number of items or dollars.

When the items that you preordered are shipped to us by the publisher, we will hold them for you until your next scheduled ship date. We begin processing newly received comics on Tuesday of each week and that week's shipments will go out between Tuesday and Friday of the week they arrive.

Shipping Costs

Each time we send you a shipment, we will charge an exact shipping cost based on the shipping address and weight of your order. When you're going through checkout, you will prepay a portion of your future estimated shipping costs that will be stored in your account as shipping credit. When it comes time to send you a shipment, if you already have enough prepaid shipping credit to cover the shipment, that will be used. If the shipping costs exceed your prepaid shipping credit, the remainder will be charged to you.

Piggybacking your MyComicShop orders on your next subscription service shipment

One benefit of having an active preorder/subscription account is that when you're placing an order from MyComicShop's regular non-preorder inventory, you have the option of having that order held to ship together with your next shipment from your preorder/subscription account. We refer to this option as "piggybacking" your orders on your subscription shipments. Customers who have a pending subscription service shipment will automatically be offered the option to piggyback their order while choosing a shipping method during checkout. The benefit of piggybacking is that you avoid the higher costs associated with each standalone purchase, so you can place multiple smaller orders without incurring a full shipping charge every time you order.

This option is available for both domestic and international customers. This option is not available if your order contains any of the following items: auction items, consignments, oversize and especially heavy items, hardcover omnibuses, comic value packs, gift codes, and items priced $200 or more.

Piggybacked items do not ship for free. If you are shipping to the United States, each item will incur a small per-item incremental shipping cost. If you are shipping outside the United States, there will be no shipping charged for your piggybacked purchases during checkout, but your purchase will be charged for shipping based on the weight of your shipment (including piggybacks) when your shipment ships to you.

First time subservice customers are unable to "piggyback" non-preorder purchases to their subservice account until that month's subservice order has been placed. Subscription service orders are usually placed the Monday after the subservice deadline.

Managing and tracking your preorders

Our system keeps track of everything you have preordered, and you can review the status of all your preorders at any time in your account. If something that you preordered is later cancelled by the publisher, as sometimes happens, you will be automatically refunded and notified of the cancellation.
