Note: I've shamelessly copied and pasted this from the insert that will be in our wedding programs at the ceremony, so you will be receiving a copy for reference on the wedding day.
We invite our guests to join us following the wedding ceremony for a reception at the Living Seas Salon. A Disney shuttle bus will transport all wedding guests to the reception venue after the recessional.
Due to lighting restrictions at the Living Seas Salon, the reception will end promptly at 8:30pm. Since the night will still be young at that time, we make the following suggestions for spending the rest of the day:
If you have a park ticket, you can travel to the Magic Kingdom to watch their fireworks show, Wishes, at 10pm, and the Main Street Electrical Parade at 11pm. You can also find some good fireworks viewing spots outside of the Polynesian Resort and the Grand Floridian if you don't have a park ticket.
Disney's Boardwalk has some great options for adults, including a dueling piano bar (Jellyrolls), a nightclub (Atlantic Dance Hall), and a microbrewery/pub (Big River Grill & Brewing Works).
Downtown Disney has a number of shops and restaurants that are open late as well as a live music club (House of Blues), an indoor interactive theme park (DisneyQuest), and a movie theatre where you can grab a cocktail and a late night snack while taking in a film (AMC Fork and Screen).
Feeling like some karaoke? You can trek over to the Swan resort to exercise your lungs at Kimono's.
Last, but certainly not least, you can simply head back to your resort, grab a cocktail, and sit by the pool.
A Disney shuttle bus will be available to transport you back to your resort (or any other Disney resort on property) when you are ready to depart the reception. Wherever you decide to go, have a great time while you're there!

It's hard to believe that exactly one week from right now, Christina and I will be boarding a plane to Orlando for all of the wedding festivities. This is the penultimate post in this blog and it's got some important information regarding transportation on the wedding day, so you'll want to write some of this down.
Our wedding ceremony starts promptly at 2:30pm at the Walt Disney World Wedding Pavilion. You'll actually want to show up sometime between 2pm and 2:15pm so as not to miss anything. For guests staying at the Pop Century or Coronado Springs resorts, there will be a shuttle (Disney transportation bus) available to transport guests from the main lobby of those resorts to the Wedding Pavilion. The pickup schedule is as follows:
- 1:30pm: Pick up guests at the main lobby entrance of the Pop Century Resort
- 1:45pm: Pick up guests at the main lobby entrance of the Coronado Springs Resort
If you are not staying at either of those resorts and don't want to make the trek to one of them to hop on the shuttle or if you would like to arrive at the Wedding Pavilion even earlier, you can take Disney Transportation to the Grand Floridian Resort. The Wedding Pavilion is less than a 5 minute walk from the Grand Floridian and cast members will gladly point you in the right direction.
If you're walking averse or are in a rush, your other option is to take a cab directly to the Wedding Pavilion. You can ask a cast member to call you a cab at the front desk of any resort.
The reception festivities will begin immediately following the wedding ceremony. A Disney shuttle bus will transport all guests from the Wedding Pavilion to the Living Seas Salon backstage at Epcot. Please note: This is the only way to get to the reception. It is not in a public location, so if you want to attend the reception you must get on the bus after the ceremony. We will be very sad if you do not do this and miss the reception as a result.
The shuttle bus will also be available throughout and at the end of the reception to transport guests to any Disney resort of their choosing. You can head back to your resort and hang out poolside or you can go to another resort and hang out there for the rest of the evening. (Wherever you choose to go, once you get off the bus you're on your own for getting back to your resort; Disney transportation runs into the early hours of the morning however, so you won't have a problem getting around.)
We'll list more about post-reception options in the next, and final, blog post.
