Michele Parent is a graduate of the University of Toronto and the Academy of Design in Toronto, Ontario.
Immediately following graduation in 2003, she started These Four Walls Interior Design, a residential design firm based in Toronto. But an opportunity to collaborate on a cottage project in the Kawarthas led to a change in career direction and a new focus on cottage design.
Feeling the need in the Kawartha Lakes marketplace for a furniture and accessories store, she started the ‘Stony Lake Furniture Co.’ which folded a retail environment in with full-scale design service.
Ready for the next chapter, Parent sold the Stony Lake Furniture Company in July 2010 and after a brief hiatus, has returned to residential design and launched ‘lookbook’, a blog focused on all things design.
Her work has been featured in Canadian House & Home, Style at Home, Cottage Life and the National Post.
She currently lives and works in Toronto, Ontario as a designer and design writer.
