Although I normally advise people to install a technology level or service pack on a server and only install a efix as a last resort. If you do need to install an efix for any reason (normally required to avoid a reboot), you can easily  find out if a fix does require a reboot by running an efix install in preview mode verbosely and grepping for reboot. For example, if you were installing a cfgmgr interim fix let’s say you could simply run the following command:

myserver # emgr -d -e cfgmgr_08.060912.epkg.Z -v2 | grep REBOOT
REBOOT REQUIRED: no
