NorthStar Physiotherapy Centre is the first clinic in Winnipeg to offer the Bioflex Low Intensity Laser Therapy (LILT) treatment system, a Canadian innovation. LILT has been used with a very high success rate in the treatment of a variety of acute and chronic musculoskeletal injuries, degenerative conditions and wound healing. Laser treatment utilizes light energy to interact with the affected tissues in ways that leads to restoration of normal cell function. The result is a reduction or elimination of pain, restored range of motion and an improved quality of life. Laser therapy may also diminish or eliminate the need for drugs or corrective surgery. LILT is safe and painless. Statistically, patients treated with Low Intensity Laser Therapy begin to see results in two to three visits, with over 85% being pain-free at the end of their scheduled treatments. Our team is comprised of Physiotherapy and healthcare professionals. Each have years of experience in direct patient care. All have been certified after completion of a comprehensive technical and clinical program of training in Low Intensity Laser Therapy.
