About Us

UniverCity 's adventure begins in 1996 when the the City of Burnaby approved an Official Community Plan (OCP) allowing SFU to begin development of a residential community, later named “UniverCity”.

The 1996 OCP envisions a dense, mixed-use community on approximately 65 hectares of land surrounding the SFU campus. It allows for up to 4,536 residential units in two distinct neighbourhoods to the south and east of SFU’s campus, each with its own elementary school and neighbourhood park. The OCP includes provisions for a commercial core, community facilities, and an extensive network of pedestrian paths and bike trails.

UniverCity is currently home to approximately 3,000 residents and is planned to accommodate more than 10,000 when fully built out.

Novo complex (BCS1046) is a collection of two towers and townhomes atop Burnaby Mountain and is part of Univercity at Simon Fraser University. These towers showcase the beautiful panoramic views and also offer modern amenities such as a modern gym, social room and storage facilities.

As with all homes at Univercity, the Novo complex is minutes from transit (also connection to Skytrain) and within walking distance to UniverCity's High Street Village Centre, shopping, dining & outdoor recreation at Simon Fraser University. When the need to drive arises these condos have quick driving access from Burnaby Mountain to Highway 1 and Lougheed Highway.
