 The curling season begins the day after Thanksgiving
and runs until end of March. 

 

Junior/Youth - Sunday - 10 am to 12:30 pm   Find out more
A fun, social, relaxed atmosphere for children aged 8 to 18 years, which can also offer competition for those teams who want to play in the U15/U18 out-of-club bonspiels.  Instruction, practice and games weekly.  All equipment provided.

Adult Learn to Curl - Thursday - 6:30 pm to 8 pm   Find out more
A good league for beginners who have never curled before.  The first 10 weeks involves a mix of classroom training and on-ice instruction and practice covering all aspects of the game of curling.  The remaining 11 weeks is devoted to game play with the convenor forming teams each week to play against other Learn to Curl league members.  All equipment is provided.

Whether you're 18 or 80, use a wheelchair, have tricky knees or a tricky back we’ll show you how to curl.  During the fall session our experienced instructors will teach you the basic techniques of slide delivery, standing delivery using a stick or delivery from a wheelchair. You’ll also learn the basic rules, etiquette and strategy through on ice exercises. January to March you’ll enjoy honing your skills in fun, non competitive games.  All equipment provided.

Novice League - Sunday - 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm    Find out more
A relaxed non-competitive league for those with 1 to 5 year's curling experience (especially those who have graduated from a Learn to Curl program).  Sign up as an individual or a couple.  Teams are made up by the league convenor.  Teams curl together for 5 or 6 games then are reorganized so everyone has the opportunity to play new people and play different positions.  More experienced players would be put in the Skip & Vice positions.

Since becoming an Olympic sport, Doubles is rapidly gaining popularity in North America.  Each team of two players throws five rocks in each end.  As a result, the game is fast paced allowing 8-ends to be played in under an hour and a half.  This is an open team league (any two players) welcoming all levels of experience & abilities for a fun and social time and a new twist on the game.  Instruction is available for anyone new to the format.  Individual players are welcome to sign up and the league convenor will help place you on a team.  The shorter playing time means you can play 8-ends, have some social time, and still be headed home before 9:00 pm.  Great for those with a busy schedule.

Open Tag - Sunday - 1 pm to 3 pm   Find out more
Join as an individual and play with different people each week.  This is a drop-in, pick-up type league.  Everyone is rated for a position based on their experience and ability.  Teams are made up from the pool of members present each week.  Curlers do not have to make a commitment to attend the league every week and are not required to get a spare for themselves if they are not available on a specific Sunday.  All curlers are welcome regardless of age, experience or ability.

Ladies Night - Monday -  6:30 pm   Find out more
This league is an individual entry league welcoming all levels of curlers.  They are a FUN competitive league, and this year will run on an individual points system - points will be based on many things giving everyone a chance to win the coveted prizes at year end.  You do not sign-up with a team, but are assigned teams for the first draw and then the league has fun ways to make up teams through the season to help everyone get to know one another. 

Senior Men's Tag - Monday or Wednesday  or  Friday - 9:30 am   Find out more
Curlers join as individuals and are rated based on experience and performance.  Curlers may play one, two or all three days based on their membership (One league/single game or Unlimited leagues).  New teams are made up for each tag draw from the pool of members present on that day.  This is a pick-up curling league.  There is no need to arrange for a spare if you are not available on any of the days.  A relaxed and fun morning.  The kitchen is open after games for lunch.

Senior Men's Team - Monday - alternating 12:30 pm & 3 pm   Find out more
This league is a choose your own team entry, but individual curlers may sign-up and the league convenor will help place you on a team.  At the end of each round teams are moved up or down a division depending on their win/loss standings.

Men's Evening - Tuesday - alternating 6:30 pm & 9 pm   Find out more
The Tuesday men's league is a choose your own team entry league, but individual curlers may sign-up and the league convenor will help place you on a team.  Teams are split into 2 divisions.  At the end of each round teams are moved up or down a division depending on their win/loss standings.  This ensures competitive play for each team through the season.  

Ladies Draw - Tuesday - 9:30 am or 12:30 pm   Find out more
Players are placed on a team by the Games Committee. There are four rounds during the season; perfect for the Snowbirds who only wish to curl for part of a season.  This league promotes fun and friendship and is a great way to meet lots of different ladies.  The club's kitchen is open for lunch each week after the 9:30 am games.

Wednesday Open - Wednesday - alternating 6:30 pm & 9 pm   Find out more
Enter you own team made up of any combination of male or female players.  Individual curlers may sign-up and the league convenor will help place you on a team.  This is a competitive league which includes U15/U18 teams, Trent University varsity teams, and adult teams.

Ladies Team Entry - Thursday - 9:30 am   Find out more
Curlers form their own teams.  Teams are laddered after each schedule.  The number of schedules depends on the number of teams entered.  Individuals may sign-up and the Games Committee will help to place you on a team.  The club's kitchen is open for lunch each week after the games.

Afternoon Mixed - Friday - alternating 1 pm & 3:30 pm   Find out more
This is a team entry league, with teams comprised of 2 female and 2 male curlers, alternating their positions.  It is a fun and social league with room for all levels of curling experience.  Individuals and couples may sign-up, and the convenor will assist to place you on a team.  Many participants take advantage of the kitchen's Friday night special meal after their game.

Evening Mixed - Friday - alternating 6:30 pm & 9 pm   Find out more
This is a team entry league, with teams comprised of 2 female and 2 male curlers, alternating their positions.  It is a fun, social competitive league with room for all levels of curling as teams are divided into four flights.  Teams move up or down after each round depending on their win/loss standings.  Individuals and couples may sign-up and the league's membership coordinator will assist to place you on a team.
