We are continuing to offer full tax services remotely from both our Ottawa and Newfoundland offices. For the filing of Tax years 2017-2022, we operated solely in this fashion and it worked remarkably well!

Customers can feel comfortable and confident that the same great service is still offered, be it remotely. This can be accomplished by either mailing and/or couriering their tax information to either office. Alternatively you can still continue to send them via email or fax.

Also note that as always, due to Canada Revenue Agency E-file regulations, Protax cannot e-file your taxes until your E-file authorization form has been signed. The e-file authorization form can be emailed, mailed or faxed to you for your actual signature or now – your “e signature”.

Please remember that we are more than happy to schedule telephone appointments as well. At this time, we are suspending “in person” appointments due to the COVID-19 Omicron Variant. It is our sincere hope that we will be able to resume “face to face” tax preparation in the future.

This year Canada Revenue Agency will not be accepting 2023 E-files until February 19, 2024.

The Ottawa and Newfoundland offices will open for their first day of filing 2023 Taxes on Wednesday February 21, 2024. For telephone appointments or tax document drop off, both offices operate by appointment only. Should you be required to leave a message, it will be returned within 24 hours.
