Consultations
While we are happy to briefly discuss your matter over the phone for 5-10 minutes, most immigration issues will require more time for a thorough analysis.
Our consultation rate is $400/hour. During our meeting, we will review your immigration matter and documents, assess your needs, address your concerns and answer your questions. We will also provide preliminary legal advice, explain the process and advise you on your best options.
Fixed Fee Retainer
For most immigration matters, our fees are assessed on a “fixed fee” basis. Fees will vary depending on the type of application, complexity and time pressures of the matter. A quote can usually be provided after a consultation. If you decide to retain us on a fixed-fee basis within 30 days of the meeting, the consultation fee will be deducted from the fixed-fee retainer.
Disbursements
Expenses incurred as part of our services and application process will be billed separately. Some examples of common disbursements include:
Government application processing fees
Police clearance application fees
Photocopies and scans
Couriers
Postage
Taxes
GST and/or PST are payable by most in-Canada clients.
Payment of Accounts
Much expenses may be incurred on your behalf during the application process. As we are not a large company, we would appreciate prompt payment of accounts upon receipt. We reserve the right to not continue work on a file until an account is paid. In addition, we will require a further retainer to continue work.
We accept payments by cash, cheque or eTransfer.
