I recently completed a Graphic Novel for the WTJHS.  It was done in time for the Junction Arts Festival, the yearly event and pinnacle of Bohemian good times in the Junction.

The story is based on the real-life character, named Josiah Royce - the first Police Chief of the Junction.  It was written by Neil Ross, also a member of the WTJHS, and illustrated by yours truly.

Although we don't have as much as we would like on Royce himself, we were able to trace his roots back to Alberta, as a Northwest Mounted Policeman ( the force that spawned the modern day RCMP ).  He fough against Louis Riel in the Northwest Rebellion, and ended up moving to the Toronto West Junction in the late 1800's. 

The story is real.  The events are real.  They all happened.  We have merely created some dialogue, and our idea of what would have taken place ( in one form or another ), to create the book.

The series is called, "Justice in the Junction-The life and Times of Josiah Royce.  The first issue, "A Horseman From the West", is on sale at the Annette Library, and various shops in the Junction.  All proceeds go to the Historical Society, to help keep the history alive.

I am currently working on the second issue, "James Bond vs. The Mountie", and hope to have it completed by first week of April.
