SWS Engineering has been providing the structural engineering design for Cineplex theatres since the 1990’s across Canada. These structures typically consist of a structural steel shell (exterior) with precast concrete panels. The interior is generally structural steel with light-weight steel framing for the bleachers. SWS Engineering has developed many unique structural details for the bleachers to address vibration, sound, and constructability issues.
