Scouting is all about youth, but the volunteer leaders — called Scouters — are essential to a great Scouting program.

Many Scouters are parents of youth in the program. Some have been Scouters for many years, while some are new at it. Regardless, they share one thing in common — a desire to be a positive influence in the lives of today's youth.

As part of a leadership team, you will help deliver the weekly program to the youth in your section. The shared leadership model means you can learn new skills and abilities from the other volunteers in your section, and in turn can pass those skills on to new volunteers in the future.

1st Bolton Scout Group provides the training, mentorship, development and uniforms at no cost to our volunteers. All volunteers undergo a screening process and must maintain a current, clean Police Records Check (PRC) to ensure the safety of the youth in our care.

Looking for a rewarding way to spend your time?   Become a Scouter!
