Sunny Soupstock celebration draws over 40,000

Download poster

Thank you to the more than 40,000 soup lovers that joined us on Sunday October 21st at Toronto’s Woodbine Park. The gloriously sunny celebration at Soupstock was Canada’s largest-ever culinary protest.

More than 200 top chefs from across North America offered a staggering array of delicious soups made from thousands of pounds of donated fresh local ingredients.

Together, farmers, chefs, musicians, artists, volunteers and soup-drunk revellers of all ages raised their bowls in opposition to the Highland Mega-Quarry project.

Hosted by the Canadian Chefs’ Congress and the David Suzuki Foundation, all funds raised will be used to continue building a community of support for stopping the controversial Mega-Quarry and for other environmental and food-related issues.

Check out the full list of participating chefs, producers and performers.
