9) Why my snowblower belt start smoking and burning? After starting the engine of your Snow Blower, pay close attention when engaging the drive system. If the engine strains excessively or stalls, do not retry before checking all moving parts. Snow from a previous session may have melted and re-frozen, locking up critical parts. Make sure engine is off and try and free frozen parts gently. If necessary, move the blower to a heated area and allow the ice to melt. Failure to do so may end up in a shredded belt or broken equipment. 10) I have a snowblower that takes oil/gas mixture, I forgot and put straight gas in it , after 5 minutes engine turned off by itself, and I can not start it again. Check your owner's manual for the proper gas-to-oil mixture. For almost all modern two-stroke engines, a 50-to-1 mixture is recommended. This leaner mixture is possible due to improvements in the quality of modern mix oil. That requires about 2 1/2 oz. of oil for every gallon of gasoline. If the mixture is too rich ( too much gas), you will damage the engine, if the mixture is too lean ( too much oil) other it will not start or smokes excessively. 11) What is the best Snowblower to buy? When you buy Snowblower, you should pay attention to the brand of the engine. The snowblowers come with different engines, some have chineese engine, some have american made engines and some have Japanees engine. Currently Powermore engines and LCT engines are chineese engines that are used on many snowblowers in the market. In my opinion LCT engines are better engines to work on them. Powermore engines tend to rev up and down after few years or when you leave gas in them. The Briggs and Stratton 7.00 series, 8.00 series, 9.00 series and 11.50 series hands down are most reliable engines in the market.
