K. Diane Cormier
Cormier, K. Diane - 66, of Five Islands, Colchester County passed away Saturday, July 14, 2012 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Halifax, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Gertrude (Shanks) Awalt. She, her husband and family owned and operated Cormier’s Five Island Clam Factory, as well as Diane’s Restaurant in Five Islands. She is survived by daughters, Angie Davis (Robbie), Five Islands; Lisa White, (Rodney Morris), Ward's Brook; sons, Jerry (Kelly), Five Islands; Wayne (Tammi), Diligent River; son-in law, David White, Parrsboro; sisters, Gloria White, Shirley McColough; brothers, Larry and David, all of Kitchener, Ontario; grandchildren, Krystle, Brandon, Ashley, Chelsi, Evan, Bailee, Robert, Brittany, Karlee, Morgan, Jasmen, Jordyn; great grandchildren, Madison, Aiden, Braxton, Bridgette, Preston, Landon, Cogan. She was predeceased by her husband, Oswald; a sister, Patricia Lobsinger. A private family funeral was held at St. Brigid’s Catholic Church, Parrsboro, Father Phil Thibodeau officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. A public reception was held at Diane’s Restaurant, Five Islands at 2pm on Tuesday, July 17, 2012. Memorial Donations may be made to the Colchester County Palliative Care (VON).
