In brief: Opposition MLAs vying for support in Flin Flon

It was part of an effort by the PCs to bolster their presence in northern Manitoba, where they have traditionally fared poorly.

PC leader Brian Pallister made his first visit to Flin Flon last year to glean input for the Tories’ northern strategy ahead of the 2016 election.

While Flin Flon has long been a New Democratic stronghold, polling suggests the PCs have a commanding provincewide lead after nearly 16 years of NDP rule.
