Vision Baptist Church was founded around June 8, 1990. It was started by Missionaries Don Hodge and Jim Roe. Jim Roe came to Leduc in September / October of 1989 and started to make contact with people in the community.
Vision Baptist Church first met in various rented buildings. In September of 1999 arrangements were made to purchase the present property and renovations were started. An average of 29 people attended on a Sunday morning at that time. The Lord allowed Vision Baptist Church to fully pay for the building by May 1, 2007.
Today we are actively involved in the Bearing Precious Seed ministry where we assemble scripture portions (the books of John and Romans) for free distribution around the world. Our desire is to get the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ into the hands of every person.

Jordan Doerksen, Pastor
Jordan Doerksen was called by Vision Baptist Church to become the Pastor in June 2021. He accepted the call and began pastoring on October 3, 2021.
Jordan has been married to his wife, Sarah, for 11 years, and the Lord has blessed them with three wonderful children. Growing up, he was privileged to hear the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ at an early age, and he accepted Him as his Saviour when he was 10 years old. In the summer of 2017, sensing God calling him in a new direction, they moved to Winkler, Manitoba, and he enrolled for the Fall semester at Canadian Baptist Bible College. During their first few months there the Lord confirmed His calling upon his life to be a preacher of the Gospel through Jeremiah 1:5 which reads, “Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.” He surrendered his life to be obedient to the Lord’s calling, and looks forward to what He has in store for the future at Vision Baptist Church. It is his desire to help our church be a bright and shining light in our community by upholding God's Word as our sole rule for faith and practice, and demonstrating the love of Christ to those around us. His family looks forward to meeting the people of Leduc, and anticipate the great things God will do as we reach out through various ministries to a lost and dying world with the good news of Jesus Christ. |
