The choice for a voice in Ward 4 is STILL clear.

Vote JEFF GAREAU on Oct. 25th, 2010, for credible and unbiased representation as your Regional Councillor.

See what some Oakville residents have to say about Jeff:

"I am happy to publicly endorse Jeff Gareau’s candidacy for Regional Councillor in Ward 4. I know Jeff and he is a remarkable family man with three young boys who has contributed to Oakville in so many ways. He is committed to Oakville’s well-being fiscally and wants to ensure we can afford to deliver the services that concern our young families, seniors, and the disabled.

Jeff has also been successful in business, helping many diverse organizations as a volunteer on the ground and in the boardroom. This enables him to reach out to ALL groups with integrity, ethics, and sincerity. Jeff’s efforts have been rewarded as he was the recipient of Oakville’s Community Spirit Individual Volunteer of the Year Award in 2005.

Jeff Gareau will bring credible and objective representation on Council, holding it accountable to the residents. We want to maintain our high quality of life and services and we need someone who is in touch with the needs of our families."

Regional Councillor Fred Oliver

"As a long time soccer mom, former President of both the Oakville Soccer Club and the Oakville Sports Council, and active member at my Parish, I have seen Jeff Gareau's involvement not only with sport, but with the Town of Oakville in every aspect.  I also sat on the Oakville Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee while Jeff was Chair and he has not only changed the rules about how things are done on the field, he has changed how things are done at town hall through his commitment to the community.

Jeff's finance and investment background gives me the confidence to support him - against increased taxes, against lost services and against the 'same old, same old' in dealing with developers and the Province.

I support Jeff as a family man, who understands what it means to make a life working and living in Oakville and how to make the changes to ensure that my kids have a future here with manageable growth and protecting the environment."

“As a participant, committee member, and an Ambassador for the Oakville Rick Hansen Wheels in Motion Event (RHWIM), I have been involved since inception. Jeff Gareau has been one of the driving forces behind our Annual Oakville RHWIM as the Chair of Media Relations and Community Development (2006-10).  Jeff will leave no stone unturned and I remember us rolling up our sleeves and hitting the pavement door-to-door in the early days creating awareness for the event.  His community service to Rick Hansen and many other non-profits and charities like Halton Easter Seals and Ontario March of Dimes, make Jeff a HUGE ASSET to all persons living with or without disabilities in Oakville!!!”

I met Jeff Gareau for the first time in 2000 when he joined the Mayor’s Committee Against Impaired Driving, which I sat on as a Councillor. At that time, I found Jeff's energy, sincerity, and knowledge to be just what the committee needed.  It was through his experience and way of dealing with people that many urged him to step over and help MADD (Mother's Against Drunk Driving) as their new President.  Over the years, I have witnessed Jeff’s commitment to every committee and project he has undertaken.
One only has to look at the numerous awards Jeff has been presented, his numerous successes in business to understand his commitment to community and his commitment to the people of Oakville. For all these reasons, I am pleased to be endorsing Jeff Gareau for Regional Councillor in Ward 4.

I would like to endorse Jeff Gareau's candidacy for Regional Councillor in Ward 4.

Jeff has been my neighbour for 5 years and he is a great family man coaching his kids at soccer.  He also gets his 3 sons involved by enlisting them to help clean a part of the Gareau Family-sponsored trail nearby.

He is very active in the community and does not look to get accolades for it - he does it out of genuine concern and dedication to those less fortunate.

I campaigned for him in the last election and found many people interested in the issues he was and still is concerned with and 43% decided to vote for him.  I hope the public will agree with me again with more getting out to vote on Oct. 25th so Jeff can effect positive change on Council as he has done for so many organizations.
