Report Card Distribution is Wednesday, May 1st

Students will receive their midterm report card in their homeroom class on Wednesday, May 1st.

Students with a first period spare can pick up their report card from the school library.

E-learning report cards will be arriving at the school after May 1st, please follow up with the main office.

Class of 2024 Commencement Ceremony

When: Thursday, June 20th, 2024

Where: Bingemans Conference Centre

Address:  425 Bingemans Centre Drive , Kitchener, ON    

Room:  Marshall Hall

Ceremony Time:  7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

Doors open:   6:30 p.m.

Grads Arrival Time:  6:00 p.m. (report to gowning room)

The deadline to reserve your Graduation cap and gown is Wednesday, May 15th, 2024

Cap and gown rental  $40 per graduate available on School Day

Guests tickets are $10 each, available for purchase on School Day.   (Do not buy guest tickets until you have paid for your cap and gown)

OSSLT for Secondary Students in 2024

To get their Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), students in Grades 10 to 12 must meet the literacy graduation requirement.

Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test (OSSLT)

In Ontario, the OSSLT is the standard method used to test students’ literacy skills. Its purpose is to support students to meet the provincial literacy requirement to graduate.

This year Blended Learning Days will be on the following dates:

  • Wednesday September 27, 2023 – Week 2
  • Wednesday December 6, 2023 – Week 2
  • Wednesday February 28, 2024 – Week 2
  • Wednesday May 08, 2024 – Week 1

Secondary teachers will be engaging in Professional Development to support the expansion of de-streaming and single streaming. For students, these days will be similar to our Instructional Support Days, where students are not required to attend in-person, but will have learning provided through the virtual classroom and meetings with their teachers. Attendance will be taken, but in-person attendance will be optional on these days.

  • A supervised study space will be available in the morning for students who wish to attend.
  • Blended Learning Days are instructional days.  
  •  Attendance will be taken so students must engage online or in person.
  • ACE students will attend school with regular programming and following regular attendance procedures.
  • Transportation will run at regular times
