Fraser Hardman with Jeanette Arsenault.

“They don’t write songs like that anymore” this Saturday at the Wellington Library

Fraser Hardman grew up in the north of England and went to school there and in Scotland. He has played in a variety of bands on both sides of the Atlantic, from folk to jazz to rock and roll, and even a shortlived spell with a gypsy orchestra. Fraser has called Canada home for the past 30 years, and now resides in Prince Edward County.

He performs regularly with other musicians including McGreevy and Hardman, a high-energy Celtic duo, and Station Road, a country rock band. Fraser also has a special love for jazz songs, show tunes and Tin Pan Alley standards from early last century, which he is now performing along with Jeanette Arsenault as part of The Dazzlebugs.

Hardeman is performing a free concert entitled “They don’t write songs like that anymore” at the Wellington Library on Saturday at 2 p.m.
