Brackets 1.10 Available In PPA

Brackets 1.10 is available in the WebUpd8 Brackets PPA (it includes libgcrypt11 so the debs in the PPA should work on any Ubuntu / Linux Mint version, unlike the official deb packages). 

Changes:

  • Multiple encoding support: Brackets now supports more than 40 different file encodings. You can now Open/Save files with different encodings.
  • Search History: Access all your most recently searched queries from the search bar.
  • @rule and pseudo-selector code hints: CSS code hints now support @rule and pseudo selector/element code hints.
  • Inline CSS code hints: Brackets now provides CSS code hints in style attribute value in html.
  • Forward/Backward navigation in edit history: Navigate backward/forward using Alt-I, Alt-Shift-I across explicit cursor positions.
  • Enable/Disable default extensions: You can now enable/disable default extensions, that are shipped with Brackets.
  • Native Menus for Linux: HTML menus are replaced with native menus in Linux.

Syncthing-GTK 0.9.2.5 Available In PPA

Syncthing-GTK version 0.9.2.5 is available in the main WebUpd8 PPA. Changes:

  • Changed wording in notification for better clarity
  • Added config-only option to disable status icon animation
  • Added -o argument, dumps captured Syncthing daemon output to stdout
  • Added argument to disable status icon
  • Fix: Filesystem watching fails on folder with space in id.
  • Fix: 1st run wizard now stores password hash directly instead of leaving hashing to syncthing
  • Fix: Switched to timeout_add_seconds for inotify polling

Albert 0.12.0 Available In PPA

Albert 0.12.0 is available in the main WebUpd8 PPA. Changes:

  • the ignore now supports relative patterns by prefixing the pattern with a slash
  • the wildcard character “*” now behaves like git ignore files by matching all characters but slashes (for wildcard matching including slashes uses double asterisks, “**”)
  • the websearch extension was updated with a “more confortable” UI, the list now supports drag and drop, and the search engines are now edited using a dedicated dialog
  • terminal extension: the default action now launches in a shell without terminal

Tilix 1.6.1 (Previously Terminix) Available In PPA

Tilix 1.6.1 (previously called Terminix) is available in the WebUpd8 Tilix PPA. Changes since the previous PPA version (1.5.8):

  • Quick fix for an issue with Tilix suddenly requiring a new library libgdkglext-3.0.so.0, corrected by building against older GtkD library for now.
  • Fix problem with only being able to open a custom link once
  • Fix layout options crashing Tilix in GTK 3.14
  • Fix issue with preferences window displaying a very wide window instead of normal size
  • The text in the titlebar is now properly centered
  • Fixed issue with Tilix ignoring the geometry parameter

Terminix 1.5.2 Available In PPA

Terminix was updated to version 1.5.2 today, and is now available in the WebUpd8 Terminix PPA. Changes:

  • Removed Timeout from terminal to fix segfault with visual bell
  • Fixed Nautilus plugin where it was crashing Nautilus for some users
  • Variables used in application title now resolve correctly.

Atom 1.14.0 Available In PPA

Atom 1.14.0 is available in the WebUpd8 Atom PPA. Changes:

  • A fundamental data structure in the editor has been implemented in native code to reduce memory and yield better performance for large files. More improvements to come.
  • Atom 1.14 makes available a 64-bit installation for Windows.
  • Overhaul of the bundled C# grammar
  • Upgrade find-and-replace to use new marker layer API for fast clearing of markers
  • Option for avoiding overlay movements
  • Reduce the impact of leaking Editor, Selection, & Cursor objects
  • Improvements to the MRU tabs UX:
  • An MRU-ordered list of the tabs to visit now appears during MRU traversal.
  • There is an option in the tabs package settings to make ctrl-tab and ctrl-shift-tab do MRU or simple left/right traversal.
  • Fixed a bug in keyup handling such that the MRU order doesn’t appear to randomly change.
