WEAAD - WORLD ELDER ABUSE AWARENESS DAY - JUNE 15, 2024
WEAAD was launched June 15, 2006 by the International Network for the Prevention of Elder Abuse and the World Health Organization at the United Nations. WEAAD also supports the United Nations International Plan of Action that acknowledges the significance of elder abuse as a public health and human rights issue.

VH World Elder Abuse Awareness Day 2024
Victoria Hospital will have a display set up in the lobby with posters throughout the hospital. We will distribute resources and purple ribbons to the staff with a purple candy in each bag. The event will be featured in our weekly newsletter and staff will be encouraged to wear purple on June 14th. The proclamation will be shared at our daily safety huddles throughout the hospital. 2024-06-14

WEAAD Bagged Lunch, Raffle, and 50/50
On June 14 2024, we are planning on having a bagged lunch and raffle for WEAAD. We are planning to have our mayor proclaim this day as well. We will be handing out information bags filled with WEAAD information and resources and supports. We are using this event to help spread awareness about Elder Abuse and educate others on what it is all about. 2024-06-14
