MASKWA, John

The family announces with great sorrow his death in Sudbury, Monday, February 16, 2015 at the age of 93 years. Husband of the late Elva Maskwa (nee Walford). Son of the late Michael and the late Maryanne Maskwa. Loving father of Brian Maskwa (Pauline) of Toronto, Gregory Maskwa and Morley Maskwa (Pauline) both of Sudbury, Doug Maskwa (Diane) of Garson and Linda Snobl (Les) of Kitchener. Survived by his sister Kay Tokar of Saskatchewan. Predeceased by his brothers Isadore, Frank, Stan and Mike. Proud grandfather of Alan, Jon, Olivia, Andy, Jennifer, Lianne, André, Mirielle and great-grandfather of Danaka, Charles and Tanner. Lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews and relatives. John will forever be remembered as being a good man with a big heart; He did many things for other people as an act of selfless service and compassion. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd. E., Sudbury Wednesday, February 18, 2015 from 5-7 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel.
