Please join us for the Ninth Annual Nicholas Milojevic Walk 'N' Roll-A-Thon Saturday, September 7, 2024 9:00 -11:00 am Register to attend AND/OR make a donation with the form below (scroll down), or at this link: https://www.canadahelps.org/en/charities/ontario-federation-for-cerebral-palsy/events/2024-nicholas-milojevic-walk-n-roll-a-thon/ If you are unable to attend the event - You can still show support and make a donation. The Nicholas Milojevic Walk “N” Roll-a-Thon was inspired by this wonderful young man. Due to birth complications Nicholas had Cerebral Palsy. He fought many challenges with such strength and perseverance. No matter how difficult his day was he always had a smile for all. Without words he taught us to be more tolerant of people, to appreciate the minor things we are given and to have a better understanding of disabilities. At an early age he took a liking to Nascar and eventually to #24 Jeff Gordon. When he heard that number and name he was so excited and just kept looking at the tv, he knew a race or a recording of a race would be played for him. He liked a few things but this was his 24/7 and he could not take his eyes off the screen and just looked for the #24 car. He had such an infectious smile and sparkling blue eyes. From this we came up with a motto "Sunshine like your smile and blue skies like your blue eyes". Wanting all individuals with disabilities to have sunshine and blue skies in their every day. Nicholas passed away in August of 2014 at the age of 22. His memory will be kept alive through this and other fundraising for CP. He has inspired us and we hope he inspires all of you reading this to join us in remembering him and raising funds for individuals with CP

Reframing DEI: What individuals with Cerebral Palsy Would Want Others To Know About Inclusion Jess Silver
By Matt Samuelson 20 Apr, 2024
Access to Justice Project: ARCH Disability Law Centre is leading a research project to better understand the experiences that people with disabilities have while using federal programs, courts, and tribunals in Canada. We want to understand barriers that make it more difficult to use federal programs, courts and tribunals. We also want to understand what makes federal programs, courts and tribunals more inclusive and accessible for people with disabilities. The results from this research will be included in a report that ARCH is writing for Accessibility Standards Canada. In the future, this report might be used to help inform new federal accessibility standards. For more details about the project and to access the survey, visit here: https://archdisabilitylaw.ca/access-to-justice-survey/?utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=REMINDER%20-%20Complete%20Access%20to%20Justice%20Survey%20%20RAPPEL%20-%20Complter%20lenqute%20sur%20laccs%20%20la%20justice&utm_content=REMINDER%20-%20Complete%20Access%20to%20Justice%20Survey%20%20RAPPEL%20-%20Complter%20lenqute%20sur%20laccs%20%20la%20justice+CID_21138729ba1aa85754130d30a7af70c9&utm_source=Campaign%20Monitor&utm_term=Details%20about%20the%20Project

Great organization that does their best to help people including my kid with resources for cerebral palsy.

 Karen S.

We appreciate the work you are doing to try and support this family that is new to Canada. I am sure your support will make all the difference to the family as they settle into their new lives and become better acquainted with the services available in Ontario.

Christina T.

My son has received funding from the funding program for many years and we are very grateful for the assistance. A special thank you goes out to Cathy and Biswatie for their hard work
and dedication.
