HCBA hosts sports and social activities for players with special needs. Participation provides the opportunity to develop and improve endurance, coordination and skills at recreational or competitive levels of involvement.

Good sportsmanship and fair-play is encouraged.  Individuals develop a sense of belonging, lasting friendships are built and strengthened and the level of fun and enjoyment of life is enhanced.  Baseball is the main activity and involves junior and senior level teams playing house-league games at Inch Park on Hamilton Mountain.  Buddies may assist players, however players are encouraged to participate to the maximum of their ability.  Baseball rules are adapted as required so that participation and teamwork are emphasized.  The cost for 3 months of baseball is $120.

HCBA runs 2 sessions of off-season programs at Westmount Rec Center. The Fall Program runs from October to the middle of December and the Winter Program runs from the middle of January to the end of March (excluding holidays), the cost for each session is $100. Each week, there is 2 - 45 minute segments and participants can choose a different sport for each segment.  Available sports are Recreational skill level Boccia, Floor Curling, Gymnasium Bowling, Basketball and Baseball Skills Training. In addition, Hamilton Sports Challengers have merged their Boccia Skills and Fun program with HCBA and host Boccia skills training in a fun and inclusive setting, participants will learn the rules as they improve their skills.
Who Can Participate?
Membership in the HCBA is open and available to any person ages 4 years and up with special needs.  Activities are at junior and senior levels and are structured to prioritize fun and sportsmanship.
