Community Project Grants

Project grants for registered non-profit organizations on Denman Island with support for a broad range of socio-economic projects ranging from events to infrastructure improvements.

Grant Facilitation

Help with grant research and preparation, including access to a grant research database, Grant Connect.

Small, adhoc grants requests from non-profits.

Workshops 

Denman Works sponsors workshops where the instructor can be paid. Skills training, marketing ideas, networking, and grant writing are just some of the workshops we have sponsored. Proposals are invited from individuals or non-profit organizations on the island.

  • Shop Local: articles and brochures promoting local vendors
    • Supporting local vendors is key to the economic well-being of our island. Denman Works writers pays for articles in the Grapevine and Flagstone and the visitdenmanisland website covering island vendors and products including shops, farms, home-based businesses, artisans, and services such as accommodation. Starting in 2021, we also publish a Christmas Crafts flyer.
